Susan H. Neathamer
Susan H. Neathamer, Attorney, obtained her JD from Loyola University of Law,
New Orleans in 1992 and has practiced in the greater New Orleans area since 1992.
She obtained her BS in Education from the University of New Orleans in 1979 and
taught school in the Jefferson Parish Public School System from 1979-1989.
Susan helped found the Collaborative Professionals Group of Southeast Louisiana
(CPGSEL), of which she was the 2003-2004 Vice President and is a current board
member. She also helped found and is a current board member of Collaborative
Training Resources, LLC (CTR). CTR was established to educate professionals and
clients in the Collaborative Interdisciplinary Model and to contribute to the growth of
the collaborative movement. Susan is further a founding and current board member
of the Jefferson Parish Family Law Association.
Susan was instrumental in writing the Rules for Collaborative Procedure adopted by
the 24th Judicial District Court, for the Parish of Jefferson, State of Louisiana. She
has spoken at International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) and
AFCC Conferences, universities, bar associations and judicial conferences regarding
the Collaborative Interdisciplinary Model. Susan has also traveled to Australia to
discuss training in the collaborative model for practitioners in that country in the
Susan received the 2003 National Leadership Award, 2003 National Business
Woman of the Year Award and the 2004 Ronald Regan Republican Gold Medal
Award. As well as being a Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow, Susan was voted a
Super Lawyer in 2006 and 2007. Susan has also been named a 2008 Honored
Member Premier International Who's Who Registry of Outstanding Professionals.
